and am now working on my second or third (I forget which!) set of Peters' earlier Amelia Peabody books. I've read them so often, they are beginning to rival LOTR and Harry Potter... Along with the Golden Bird, I've also acquired the boxed set of 'Rome' on dvd, and it now occupies an honored place, right next to the boxed set of 'I, Claudius' and the extended versions of LOTR... I will probably be living on ramen indefinitely... but it was worth it ;-)
