    Historical Thread

    This, the Early Dynastic Period and the Old Kingdom is the formative stage of Egyptian history. Here we find the first kings and thus also the first queens. Not much is known about these women, at best some records are given about them on seals or stelae. Several of them had however a small pyramid erected for them beside the kingīs. Letīs anyhow try to at least give something about them here, or name them - so that they can Live forever ;) ...

    Khentkaues I could be an interesting lady. She was the queen of Userkaf and buried in tomb LG100 at Giza and signs indicate that she could have been regent at some point. She was revered by later members of the 5th Dynasty. Could be interesting to dig further, eh?
