THE MUSEION ON DELOS
Presents an illustrated discussion of
Greek sculpture from the Ancient Worlds group
THE EVOLUTION AND LEGACY OF GREECE
Featuring the posts of
DIONYSIA XANTHIPPOS
Including responses by other group members.
On the tenth of March in 2006 , Dionysia Xanthippos
opened a discussion in the groupThe Evolution And Legacy Of Greece,
with a post asking some pertinent questions about the identity of
the bronze sculpture which we call,"The Boy From Marathon." This
engendered a number of speculative posts which in the end, led to
a discussion in depth of Greek sculpture in general. The Museion
considers these posts to be of such importance as to record them
in The Hall Of Sculpture of The Great Hall Of The Hellenes as an
instructive resource which should be conserved. The questions are
far from solution and anyone may add comments or questions by joining
Ancient Worlds.net with a free basic membership and joining the group,
The Evolution and Legacy Of Ancient Greece. Current members need
only post on the appropriate thread.
These posts are presented here chronologically as links to the
originals on Ancient Worlds and you may follow the thread easily
