The hunchback looked at Silki with a pessimistic eye. "Preggerth?"
Silki bowed her head. "No, I'm sorry, Everyman."
"Well, hurry up. I need the buthineth." The little man turned away to survey the woman on his right. "Preggerth?"
The elegant woman surveyed the little man with an amused smile. "No," she said pleasantly, then added, "Just hungry."
"My mother maketh very good thoup. Would you like thome thoup?" Everyman tried his hardest to be a courteous gentleman to all women. Who knew when they would become pregnant after all?
At the lovely women's agreement, Everyman called out to Hildebeest who had attached herself firmly to a horrified THING.
"Mother, we need thoup! Lots and lots of lovely thoup."
Everyman petted one of the Kash Bowl's hounds who lolled around in hope of scraps from the table. "Dogth like me," he said to no one in particular, absently scratching under his leathers at an errant flea. "Dogth are nithe."
