Looking around the room, I see that Ares is still with us. Good. I could use a distraction about now. He is standing alone by the window.
"Varilla, there is someone I would like you to meet," I say to her.
She follows me over to Ares. He looks up as we approach.
"Good morning, Ares. Lady Varilla, I would like you to meet my childhood friend, Ares. He is lord of Vathypetro. All of our finest wines come from his estate."
They exchange "nice to meet you's".
"Lady Varilla is my closest friend and Queen of Knossos," I inform him then ask, "I trust you had a good night's sleep?"
