It's a challenge to catch a breaking wave with a digital camera. It took me quite a few tries. Here's one of them.

ISO: 64
f-stop: 3.7
shutter speed: 1/500.0
focal length: 380mm (digital zoom: 1.0)
no flash
conditions: mid afternoon, bright sun
