As she skips down the path toward Master Oset's vacation home, Kissatutu's heart beats like sistrum. Her steps are light, and as she goes, she hums.. for her world has suddenly become very different. Upon arriving at Oset's doorstep, she nearly trips over her own feet.
*panting*
"Master,"
she sighs breathlessly, gazing up into his jade-hued eyes,
"It is this girl's greatest honor, gaining Your permission to learn the Sacred Ways ... A dream comes true, delivering this scroll, for it comes directly from the High Priestess of the Temple of Amun at Karnak!"
Oset chuckles, then takes the scroll from her tender hands.
"It's good news indeed, little one. Pack your things, for the Temple of Karnak is now your home. You shall be permitted to leave the Temple to run your usual errands, but there is much to do in preparation for Opet. You must go soon. You must go.. now."
At hearing the news, Kissa nearly leaps on Oset, wrapping her arms about his shoulders and tightly squeezing, covering his face with kisses. He lets out a hearty laugh.
"Quickly now,.. be off, little girl. Amun awaits!" With a pat on the bottom, Oset sets Kissa down and sends her on her way. In an instant, she turns on her heels, and is out the door.. failing to notice the ever-so-faint glint of one tiny teardrop painting his left cheek. He calls after her, "You forgot your satchel," but Kissatutu
is
already
gone.
