We´re now moving on to the 4th Dynasty which have a bit more records of royal women. In fact, I´ve been thinking that it would be fun looking at all the daughters of the kings, but that might be too much. We can do that another time, what do you think?.
Ok, so the first king of the 4th Dynasty was Sneferu and his wife was Hetepheres I which indicates there were more ladies of same name turning up later. Of her we nkow that she was also the mother of Khufu, the next regent. And at Giza, her sacrophagus and funerary furniture were found in a shaft, in front of a pyramind (GIA) which might have been built for her.
A very good article about her tomb with lovely pics of her furniture.. Do take a look! :)
