    The Beautiful Festival of Opet was celebrated annually in Thebes. Occurring at the time of Inundation in the season of Akhet, which would mean August-September in modern days. It was celebrated each year and lasted from 11 to 27 days. During the festival divine kingship was reborn and the the king's position as pharaoh reaffirmed. On a cosmic level, the festival "secured the regeneration of the Creator, Amun of Luxor, the rebirth of Amun-Re of Karnak, and the recreation of the cosmos."     Er.... I´m not sure I understand what you´re talking about, sorry! Do we really want to go sitewide? Do we have the time and the inspiration and the people necessary to pull it off? This is a genuine Kemetic tradition and someone suggested very Kemetic and interesting stuff to do, which are very much in tradition and can be fun as well, like Oracle Booth for Amun, a Procession between Ipet-Isut (Karnak) and Ipet-Resut(Luxor )and other things, which I don´t remember right now. Personally I´d be just as happy to stick only to Egypt but of course that´s only me and I´ll be happy to help as well as I can for a sitewide event too. :)

    Oh, and Here´s what I got about the Opet Festival which Im happy to add as a resource if needed.
