One of my life's great pleasures, 'tis true,
Is to spend happy time with a lady, who
Be she blonde, brunette, or a red-haired miss
Will never object to a sweet stolen kiss,
Or a bit of a cuddle in my strong arms
While I speak words of praise to milady's charms.

And when the music begins to play,
Milady is willing to swing and sway,
Or if they are playing a lively tune,
She'll join in a joyful romp 'round the room.
Then after the dance has worn us out
We'll sit and talk o'er a glass of stout.

Others can go fight in battles and wars,
And garner their share of wounds and scars!
If it gives them joy to shed their blood,
Then I'll sit back and wish them good.
But as for me, I'll stay behind,
And spend my day with a lady kind.
