I am Titus the "Lost" it seems. My friend Maxi Mutus told me there was free wine over here at IClaudius and being a true Roman with quit a taste for wine of any sort, I came right away. I made a left turn back at the Circus Maximus just a half mille passus past my Domus and wound up at a strange emporium called the Fornicaria Negotium de Aventine. I went in to ask for directions and a very charming young woman invited into her back room. Well I've had some unusual experiences in my time, but directions wasn't one of her strong points. Some ex-gladiator brutus with a big nose took what few coins I had and tossed me out on my calx. Being not slow of wit I made my way quickly out of that regio of barbarians and started asking around on the Via as to which way IClaudius's Statuo might be. A short fellow from Ostia that smelled like fish said it was just north of the Forum and that most of the citizens there would know. At the Forum a ruckus had just taken place over at Pompey's Threatre. Caesar himself it seems had been poked full of holes by a group of Sentators and all travel though the area was closed down for the local Praetorian Guard's round up of possible suspects. And of course they suspected me since I was asking so many questions about directions out of the Forum. Two days and a night later they let me go because I claimed kinship to Romulus First King of Roma. I guess they figured I must be cazy and didn't want me to spead it around. On the Via north I found more and more drunken citizens along the way and I knew I must be getting close. The music was so loud I had little trouble finding the Statuo here. So here I am, I need a bath and a very large siphus of whatever you all are having. *S*
