Okay, so I'm posting the rest of the bios sooner rather than later. LOL I just carted out those first batch of books and figured that if I waited, I'd forget what I had already posted about. LOL!! So here are the rest of the ones I'd recommend for those interested. *g*

Again, this first section will be dealing with ancient history.
    1. Atilla: King of the Huns - Patrick Howarth
    2. The Twelve Caesars - Suetonius
    3. The Twelve Caesars - Michael Grant
    4. The Life & Times of Herod the Great - Stewart Perowne
    5. Saladin in his time - P.H. Newby (highly recommend)
    6. Alexander the Great - Robin Lane Fox (highly recommend)
    7. Nero - Michael Grant
    8. Chronicle of the Roman Emperors - Chris Scarre

I don't really have any other non-fiction books to recommend for the Middle Ages/Renaissance period yet (I'm reading a few more at the moment *g*), but there was one fiction book I thought I'd mention for those, like me, that are intrigued by Anne Boleyn. It's called The Queen of Subtleties by Suzannah Dunn. It's an interesting take on Anne and the story flows between the court and the kitchens, of all places. Okay, that's it for me for the moment. If anyone has any questions on any of these please do let me know. *g*

Oh, almost forgot one! LOL I just finished A Treasury of Royal Scandals by Michael Farquhar and I found it endlesly amusing! LOL From those portions where he discussed royalty that I was familiar with, he was very accurate as well so it's not simply heresay. I'd definitely recommend this one, it's a very enjoyable read.
