I must confess that i have spent too much time reading Levick's Tiberius (for research etc for Julia), and have not read her Claudius because of it. Barbara Levick and I were contemporaries and friendly rivals at Oxford MAAANY years ago, and I respect all her work; is it just that she feels obliged to go into each small disputed problem as it comes up? Have you read Momigliano's Claudius-- a great writer, even if he is dead, as people tend to be after the first 80 or 90 years.
Do you like the Pumpkinification/ Apocolocyntosis? I did a dramatized version of it and put it on when I visited Florida State U 3 years ago; we had real FUN.
