Here are two pictures of some examples of black-topped pottery typical of the period. So sorry for the so-so quality, but photographying without flash and a tripod (and if you're like me and have rather unsteady hands) doesn't help :s I'll give it another shot one of these days and will post them if they turn out better than those. At least they are clear enough to give you an idea what the black-topped pottery looks like :-)
