When you compose your photographs, be sure to have a well-defined center of interest, preferably not centered in the frame. In other words, when people view your photographs, they should know what the central subject is and their eye should be drawn or led to it. Don't force their eyes to wander around the image, looking for a resting place. Most of the additional elements in the picture should be superfluous and of little interest which will prevent such elements from detracting from your main subject OR they should be secondary points of interest, generally placed in the mid-range or distance. These elements can be used to create a sense of depth in your pictures.
