The roleplay will take place in Buda, Pest and Obuda. For our purposes we're going to designate Obuda (old Buda) as the seedier area of the city. As Castle Hill (literally the hill where Buda Castle was built) is in Buda (the new Buda), we'll designate Buda as the area where one would find the royalty, nobility, ambassadors, etc. Pest will be the middle ground, basically where the lower nobility resides and the merchants and such like.

The year is 1457 and the current King of Hungary is Ambrus Garai. For our purposes we'll state that the Garai family is on good terms with the Habsburgs, so-so terms with the Jagiellon family (his wife is a Jagiellon) and enemies with the Cillei House. We'll leave his relationship with the Hunyadi family as ambigious for now. With there being several powerful families eyeing the throne of Hungary there would, by nature, be much plotting, planning, doing away with, framing, etc.

As we mentioned before, the king is going to be NPC as will his wife, the Queen. I'm of the bend that the king is a bit of a shit. LOL Manipulative, vain, greedy, etc. - a rather hard man, not given much to forgiveness. His loyalty is given to few - usually to those he fears in some manner and his vanity would be his main weakness. The Queen wouldn't be much better, really. Vain, arrogant, rather more proud than she should be about being a Jagiellon, a spiteful wench that never forgives a slight. Now this is my take on our illustrious royal couple LOL - if anyone has any suggestions for their character, please do post!

For the roleplay itself we will have a few threads designating different areas. We could split it up into Buda, Pest and Obuda OR we could do something like "Buda: Castle Hill" or "Obuda: The Thieves Lair". This would be good if we have people that plan on staying in Obuda and can pretty much be located at one specific spot. Or we can just do them generic. Any thoughts on that?

Okay, I think that's it from me for the moment. I'm at work at the moment so I'm unable to really gather all my thoughts together, but I was hoping this would help with members getting their character ideas together and whatnot. *g*
