It is very pleasant to sit with Gorma and listen to the young seannachie telling his tales, and soak in the warmth both of the fire and the people. This has been a different Beltaine celebration, and though it was hard work, I enjoyed the challenges. I learned much about myself and my abilities during them. Now I am happy just to sip at my cup of heather ale and let myself wind down from all the frantic activity. It is a good thing these challenges don't happen too often - twice within a twelve-month is more than enough!
