Walking into the inn, I feel a sense of dread from those around me. I look away feeling a little out of place and move to a vacant seat in the back, dark corner. It has always amazed me that people fear me. It's not like I chose my destiny. Oh well, my life will go on.

Suddenly I felt a different sensation, a vampire was in town using their magic. I should check it out. I decided against it. I stayed seated even after watching a young couple walk into the Inn. I watched and felt a sense of fear but they hid it well. There was something on their minds and I alone could see it in their eyes.

I got up and walked towards them. The young lady saw me and got wide eyed. I did as well, she was a vampire. He companion was a mortal. Surprising, I had never seen a couple like this actually talking like close friends.

"I couldn't help but sense that you were afraid of something. Is there anything i can do to help?" I asked them with a friendly smile.

Waiting patiently for them to get over their shock of seeing a wraith, I thought I'd buy them a drink.

"May I offer you something?" I asked.

I looked outside, the sun had come up. This young woman must have just barely missed it. I led them to the corner I was in to keep our conversation from reaching other ears and also to keep her out of the sunlight.

I waited for one of them to say something while watching them closely. There was something going on that they know about that not many others do. This is worth looking into.
