for the kind words! *S* The blue is a cobalt blue bottle, a very dark blue, on the upper ledge of the bottom window sash, the part where the window lock is. There's another blue bottle right behind the darkest amaryllis leaf, just to the left of center and only visible if you know it's there. The color got leached from both of those. Those broad leaves belong to another plant, some sort of philodendron I think. They're all dark green, not a yellow leaf anywhere.
The other odd thing about this photo is that outside that window are two trees with low branches, a holly and a something. (gotta look that one up one of these days) Whatever happened here made it appear that there was only sky outside that window. It's not possible to see but patches of sky through through those branches from inside the room, no matter what the season.
It also made the window glass look really clean too. I can assure you it's not. *G*
Those are wonderful chickens Severin! I never realized chickens had facial expressions, but you've captured four unique ones. Wouldn't this make a fun photo to think up captions for?
