So glad to be part of a new and exciting group of inquisitive modern women, trying to imagine the life of women and their place in Kemets history. Like many of you here i have always sat back in my comfort zone and allowed my mind to ask these questions spending hours reading articles, books, and watching the occassional doco on the history channel.
I see that we also have our favorites too. As for myself i don't have one favorite, that would be unfair to all the other women that made their contribution to Kemet. So, i'll say i admire and respect them all. Besides, if it wasn't for their contribution their heirs wouldn't have made that impact of their time.
I have seen so many Cleo movies and plays and read quite a few novels that most times i end up laughing at some of these writers and their fantasies of her. No doubt you all have yourselves. *LOOOL*
I have just finished watching a new Doco on the history channel of Hatshepsut by Bob Brier which gave a more convincing and probably a truthful story of her life, her love, and her role with Thutmose the III, which i was convinced by older articles that there was conflict between the two yet with evidence brought to light there was a civil co-existence between the two.
Isn't it just marvellous to see that modern technology and acheologists can change old beliefs of past scholers to the real truth. I just love it when old books have to be rewritten because of these new found truths *S*
Anyway folks i can't wait to read your articles on your most favorite women of Kemet and hopefully contribute a few to this group too, so until then see you on the thread *S*
