    Fading.

When painful reminiscences are recalled, we remember.
In my eyes a battle between present and past.
We recall to understand the long gone pain, to feel its presence once again
To let it fade and then forget.

    Let memories come and go
like the waves of our sea.
Let memories come to a high
and then down to a low.
Let memories join the many others
like rivers that trickle into one.
And then fade and then forget.

When joyful memories are evoked, we remember.
In my head silent tears of joy roll for the past.
We evoke to bring the long lost joy, to let our feelings soar truly high
To let it fade and then forget.

Let reminiscences dance to their music
like the majestic ballroom dancers dancing to their own.
Let reminiscences soar to the sky
like a hawk and its cousin falcon.
    Let reminiscences come together
like a large assembly of people.
And then fade and then forget.

    Forgetting.
