In Finnish Finland is called Suomi. No, this is not my strange fact of the day. But in the last song of Kalevala we are told about the birth of "Suomi". A maiden called Marjatta becomes pregnant by a lingonberry and later gives birth to a boy named Suomi.

What´s your strange fact of the day?
