I don't think either ligurians or etrurians foundend the city of Lucca, but only, later, the romans did.
Ligurians lived essentially in the mountains area, Alpi Apuane and Appennini, and there you can find their poor ruins.
The area around Lucca was, at these times, a wetland plan, because the Serchio river (called Auser) flooded the area.
Etrurians were settled not too far Lucca, 20 Km, next to the Bientina lake, a lake non more existant.
Probably, before the romans rule, Lucca was only a small Etrurians or Ligurians settlement.
