Sara Douglass, an austrailian writer, her work can be graphic but it makes it good.

The Dragon Lance books are always fun to read, I found the Linsha Triology quite good, but all the books are good.

The Dragon Quartet by Marjorie Kellogg I only read the one book that had the Dragon of Earth and Water. Some parts were good but others were alright. The book takes place back in the past and a girl name Erde finds this dragon and they bond and they travel to the future were they met this other dragon and person and they have thier own adventure.

Those are the books I recommend.
