    Note that the question didn't say he had to be King at the time of the battle! Also all Kings after the Union of the Crowns are as much Kings of Scotland as Kings of England.

    The last King of Scotland (and England) to be present at a battle was George VI, the present Queen's father. he was present at the naval battle of Jutland as a junior lieutenant on board the battleship "Collingwood".
