The chat was a blast and very productive: I thank Marduk for being the drive behind it, Ana for reporting it, and all those who partecipated and helped, especially QuintusCinna who was really inspiring in motivating us all with his ideas.
I won't be able to send my Viking contribution before the middle of next week. I'm changing jobs and I'm very happy about it, but it's a life-changing revolution. It could mean more free time and especially more serenity in the future. But right now it's a royal mess!
Pontic Steppe image: very informative, but since it's somebody's work I fear it's copyrighted. Unless Wikipedia has a special policy that its images are public domain. We should check the fine print or ask them. If not, the image could be easily reproduced. I know a site for making maps (linked on the Ravenna main page) and with a little patience we could make an even better one. I could even have a go at it when I have time (after next week, LOL). One problem remains: copying a map is infringing copyright? It's not like geography it's copyrighted, I mean, those were the historical lands and there can't be much difference in reproducing them... but I'm not knowledgeable about this.
