I have never understood. The ideal male image has not changed much since ancient Greek times, yet The female ideal changed abruptly in the early 20th century. I wonder why. Todays fashion model in ancient Greece would have been considered sickly and unattractive. Any contemporary hunk would have still been a hunk in ancient Greece. How come the difference?
