Currently on exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art:
Lords of Creation: The Origins of Sacred Maya Kingship (through May 7th, 2006)
Special events include eg. Dr. Michael D. Coe's lecture on the "True History of Chocolate" April 20th at 7 pm. Additional lectures will be held in the galleries at 3 p.m. every Saturday with either mariachis or poetry from Mexico and Guatemala.
Also on exhibition at the museum: Branch and Scorpion: Textiles from Guatemala’s Pacific Coast (through June 4, 2006).
I hope I personally got time to visit Dallas before the Lords of Creation-exhibit closes. :)
