worry, Maurynna, all will unfold. If I know Majet, and I do, he wouldn't have come to us if there wasn't hope." I touched a brick and let the blue orb light my way to my room.
Entering my room, I set up wards to keep others from entering into my room. I thought of what my task was, teach a very young elf how to unlock the power of a saber with and ancient language I didn't know I had. I could speak little of the ancient language, when it came to plants, but metal, I hadn't the faintest idea. I feared that Majet;s trust in me would be ill-placed. My thought went deeper. Denise blames herself for this evil and because of this, it gives her a new drive she will die to keep any of us safe no matter the consequences. I couldn't let this happen.
I opened my hands to perform a spell I hadn't in many years. I was going to create a shield around Denise to keep her from doing anything to end her life. Unfortuanatly, with this spell, I will be weak for a couple of days. I only hoped Denise didn't know the spell to remove this ward. If it comes to it, I will protect all the members of this group the same way, but that will take a few days to regain the strength needed to do so.
I raise my hands toward the sky, say the words and feel the power leave my body. After the spell was complete, I collapsed onto the floor and had to drag myself to the bed. I will be bedridden for some days. I haven't even the strength to put down my wards. Denise will feel the power grow in her tower, but won't be able to check on me.
