.........QUEEN OF THE EAST by Alexander Baron. This book, like many of the best (IMHO) historical novels, was written in the 1950's. I have only read the first two chapters, but I can hardly wait to get back to it.

The author states in his notes that only two of the main characters are fictional. All the rest were real people in real situations.

I'll try to post a review after I finish the book.
