They are not here as a platform for any pro/anti discussions of criminal punishment, nor to provide an opportunity to be as graphic as you like. In fact, we would like to ask that members posting refrain from being graphic in their posts. There is a way to discuss these subjects without making others ill. If you have a concern that your post might be too graphic, then you might want to reconsider the verbiage used. *s*

The Underworld will cover historical discussion on crime and punishment from ancient times to roughly the 18th century - threads have not been divided out into different regions of the world because we believe grouping them together will provide a better chance of comparing the history of different areas. This does not mean that one member can make purposeful derogatory remarks about another culture because of their ancient beliefs and practices. Please be courteous at all times and remember we're all here to enjoy discussing and sharing history. *s*
