I am a dayling here today and am posting this to introduce myself. So far Ancient sites has been a fairly easy place to register into and also to make myself at home in. My only problem right now is trying to figure out how to set up my home page, but I will figure it out in time I am sure.
My goal here is to make new acquaintances and also new friends who have a similar interest in history and its various facets as I have. I have chosen my persona name and this particular area of AS because I am of "native american" descent and have always had a great pride and a great curiosity in my heritage and my family's history. Oddly enough, on my mother's side, I am of Cherokee descent, and on my father's side, my great-great grandfather was killed by Indians after an unfortunate accidental poisoning. Ok, I realize I am leaving you hanging, but if you contact me I can tell you the bizarre story. It has left me not knowing whether to say "you reap what you sowe" or "it was a rough time, poor great grandaddy".
Just another small dose of reality. I am a farm/ranch kid that apparantly never outgrew it. After 32 years on this planet, I am still an animal person and still doing ranch work, hoping soon to have a ranch of my own. My family has three farms/ranches but I find myself wanting to strike out on my own. So my small acreage is being tended by my family in WY while I strike out on my own in KS.
Many blessings...
