Can I make myself invisible? Well I often feel like it at work
:-)
Stuff like that was beyond my training I'm afraid, but you can glean some idea of the many psychological tricks that the unscrupulous can play on the unwary in Dion Fortune's book "Psychic Self Defence".
To get back to Arthurian magick in England, there are many pagan and neo pagan groups operating. Many of them are offshoots of Gerald Gardner group which flourished after the repeal of the Witchcraft Act in the 1950's. Most of their rituals are generally no earlier than the Victorian era, although they would argue that they are a direct lineage of the pre christian religion. What little evidence we do have of iron age northern european cult practises though differ quite markedly. That's not to say that these groups are ineffective. Far from it.
Most of my training was more concerned with internal change and developing one's potential. My tools were the moon, a candle and a glass of wine and my main text was "The Mabinogian", a collection of Welsh tales, written down in the 12th century but relating to a much earlier time. You'll find King Arthur in here and many wonderful tales of gods, goddesses and magick. If you want a taste of what many would describe as Arthurian Magick you could do a lot worse than read this book.
Good luck
