I earned Whiskey, Herbs , grass and a dagger. I sat around thinking about what to offer The Goddess Brigid.
Time turned,... minutes into hours. I began sharpening, no.. more like playing my dagger. Just before the sun set the blade caught a glimpse of light. I smelled the grass beneath me, beginning to burn. Before I knew it I had started a fire.
I invited a few of my Celtic pals over to dance around the fire and drink my flask of whiskey and smoke a little herb.
We were well into the night and all of us were lit like the blazing fire before us.
The whiskey loosened our tongues... As an offering to the Goddess , Brigid, we began to sing and recite poetry.
For your Brigid:
God rest ye merry, paganfolk,
Let nothing you dismay.
Remember that the Sun returns
Upon this Solstice day.
The growing dark is ending now
And Spring is on its way.
