Bein' as I'm one of your Scribes, I'm not elegible for this contest. However, I just thought I'd get things rolling with a bit of childhood doggerel. This little bit of verse I learned from me Dear Old Sainted Mother.
Brighid, Brighid, gay and bright,
Please protect me, day and night.

There! Now I've go that out of me system, I can go back to the Bruidean and have another mug of that fine Heather Ale.
