Taylor and Angel were not out of the woods yet. The droids from the bar decided to chance after them as they left. Taylor had done his best to elude them, but there were just too many. After several hours of hit and run tactics against them, Taylor’s ship was finally too battered to go on.
Taylor brought his ship in low, only a few meters off the ground. When a few of them got close, trying to move in for the kill, Taylor ejected his power core, sending his ship crashing into the ground. The perusing ships tried to get out of the way, but the eruption of his fusion generator was just too big. The blast destroyed three of them in an instant.
“Let’s go!” Taylor yelled to Angel. The began running through the streets of the Senate district, narrowly dodging blaster fire as they ran. When they came to a T junction, the decided to split up; Taylor going left, Angel right.
Taylor was running faster then he ever had in his entire life, stopping at the occasional barrier to lay down a little cover fire. The droids were relentless though, always just behind him.
Taylor new that he would never have the stamina to keep up with a machine, so he decided to start going through building to dodge them. He busted through the back door of a large building into what appeared to be a kitchen. He passed by chefs and waiters, throwing down obstacles as he ran. As he burst through a set of swing doors, he realized he was in a large banquette area. He saw the doors for the exit at the far side of the room. He jumped over a table and headed across the dance floor.
Taylor had not counted on the floor being as slick as it was. The minuet he got to it, he went right onto his face. He quickly got to his feet, coming face to face with Soriara Masachika. He stood there stunned, unable to move. She was there, inches away, staring at him with wide, gleaming eyes.
Before he could even register what was happening, the force of blaster hitting him square in the back threw him to the ground, knocking him unconscious
