I went to the marketplace in Waset. It was always busy here with people going from one merchant to the next. There were always animals moving through the throngs of people and there were always exotic smells wafting through the air. The sound of people haggling with the merchants could always be heard and there were always children running through the streets, probably having done some mischeif and seeking to escape. For a child, playing in the streets of Waset was an adventure all its own and no matter how many times they did it, it was newly exciting every time.
I grabbed a few things and was making my way to the merchant who had the most magnificent and aromatic incense in all of Waset. He also sold fine oils for the body and hair. I purchased some of both and thought about the aroma of the incense permeating the Temple collonades.
