at the cross that he presented to me. "He doesn't know." I said to myself.

I look at him and realize that he wouldn't survive the encounter...but I would.

I step out in front of him in clear view of the creature.

"Stop!" I yell at it. I hear Raul yelling at me from behind to get out of there.

The creature kept coming closer and closer but know at a slower pace.

"You have entered here to watch me, I presume. This is your undoing." The creatre hissed.

"You will not touch him or me and live the encounter." I said trying to hold on to my hysterics that was coming up.

"You will not live." The creature said as it lunged towards me.

I stood my ground knowing that if I moved then Rauk was dead and I would never be able to live with myself knowing that I could have saved him.

I hear Raul in the background doing something, I was only vaugly aware of it.

The creature came closer and closer at a walk. I turn to look at Raul. I met his eyes. "Run!"I yell at him, "I can hold it off for a while." I said. He didn't move.

I turn back to the creature and it attacked me before I had time to react.
