Hugrunar members might want to check out vikingsword.com, which has an enormous quantity of useful and well researched information on swords of the Migration Period, Viking Age and Medieval period. Its Virtual Museum is particularly useful, giving detailed photos and analysis of many swords indicative of the styles used in various periods, many of which are in private collections and hard to access otherwise. And the site has its own discussion forum which seems quite active.
