    New People of North Island,
It is apparent to us that we need a name to go by. To call ourselves. A word that expresses who we are and what we are all about. (or what we are trying to be about)

The idea here being to construct a fine sounding word for the New Spanish/Irish People on North Island, using a combination of Spanish, Gaelic and 1640’s English words (“Levelers”) of some relevance? Also, is an attempt to include parts of the term “North Island” for locational/identificational reference. What do you think North Islanders? Is there a concocted word here that strikes your fancy? We need your ideas and votes about this. Please feel free to experiment with these or offer your own suggestions.

    (1) Aiteam: “tribe” in Old Irish Gaelic,

    (2) Poblar: “people” in Spanish,

    (3) Plebiscite: An expression of the peoples will on a political issue by direct ballot of all eligible voters,

    (4) “Levelers”: A political/social term for advocates of Human Rights in 1640’s England.

    Some attempts below:

    PlebisPoblarAiteam ?

    PleAiPob ?

    NorisPlebAitPoblar ?

    AiPoPleNori >Aipobplenori ?

    NoriAiPoPle ?

    LevAiPoNor ?

    AiPoNorLev ?
