Lexi had bathed, thank the Godddess and changed into a clean dress. Her hair flowing down her back, white dress she seems almost transparent to the waiting crowd. Having been smart enough to get a translator who stands next to her. Standing tall, she looks out onto the thousands of people and begins:
“What Shall I Say About The Celts?
The utterly impractical, never predictable,
Sometimes irascible, quite inexplicable, Celtic.
Strange blend of shyness, pride and conceit,
And stubborn refusal to bow in defeat.
He's spoiling and ready to argue and fight,
Yet the smile of a child
fills his soul with delight.
His eyes are the quickest to well up with tears,
Yet his strength is the strongest
to banish your fears.
His hate is a fierce as his devotion is grand,
And there is no middle ground
on which he will stand.
He's wild and he's gentle,
He's good and he's bad.
He's proud and he's humble,
he's happy and sad.
He's in love with the ocean,
the earth and the skies,
He's enamoured with beauty wherever it lies.
He's victor and victim, a star and a cloud,
But most he's Celtic...
Never to be known.”
She smiles and adds I am hoping now that Tara is open more and more of you will come and offer suggestions, but for now after reading what people posted I was thinking we should the following:
A Family Thread, History, The Arts (including everything that can go under this would be great, a social place (I was thinking the Cock and Bull! Grins) and finally Role Playing. If any of you have ideas or support please post under the New Thread in Tara: Ideas for Tara.
Thank you and one more thing, grins:
May you have warm words on a cold evening a full moon on a dark night and the road downhill all the way to your door. “
She waves and exits….
