    Hail!
Do any of you know if there are advanced studies in Lombard language? I am very interested in it since it is my heritage (I actually live in Lombardy),but so far there are still few studies about it (at least in Italy). However,a lot of Lombard words are present in the dialect which is spoken in my area. The books that I have studied generally tend to consider the Lombards and their language as Eastern Germanics, since many analogies with Gothic have been encountered, but recently I read a book which said that they were to be considered Western Germanics instead.Could you tell me your opinion?
