You're right, it doesn't loop in native Netscape. I sometimes forget I have my Netscape set to use the MSIE engine. So, good point. There is a way to have it detect which browser you're using and provide the specific code for your browser, but I haven't taken the time to write it all down to post here yet.
All I was trying to do was provide a method of using music that was easy and readily available for everyone's use, despite its few inadequacies (like looping). Not everyone has Flash available to create a flash file.
In addition, I don't WANT my controls to go away and I don't suggest anyone embed music in their page without the controls. Some people find any kind of music at all annoying ... even downright damaging, if you're surfing at work. I know if I find a page with music I don't care for and can't turn off, I surf away, regardless of how fascinating the topic is.
