Ineffectually swatting at the singed ends of her palla Julilla discovers that the veil of time appears to billow back and forth in the breeze of a Roman spring. Her semi-divine eyes (still XX-XX at the advanced age of MMII) perceive the legions of Augustus hauling the Obeliscus Augusti, taken by the Imperator after the annexation of Egypt, through the Ostian gate on its way to the Circus Maximus.

Again the breeze blows fitfully and she spies henchmen of Nero dragging off an agitator for one of the new, obscure cult religions off to be beheaded at the Three Fountains.

Still a bit bemused but not a jot less enthusiastic, Julilla sprints through the now-unoccupied gate and into the Eternal City.
