I gave up trying to play tag with the wolf and young new ghost. They had the advantage of being able to pass through walls and floors, I could not. So. This place is not the Otherworld. It is simply put, filled with the otherwordly and the this worldly and..
I smelled food! And I could use some more brew. I followed my nose and found people sitting in shadowy light eating when a rucus broke out and an unholy, twitching, decimated once human thing crashed through a magical see through wall. It made it's shuffling way toward a particular man who became busy trying to herd the overwrought guests into another room.
I saw the trio from before. A robed man who put me in mind of a Drui, a young woman in a gray cloak who the robed man held by her arm as to guide her out of harms way. The third was among the strangest I had seen tonight. Younger than the man in robes, short cropped streaked hair, very unusual clothing and .. what was that across his nose and in front of his eyes? I made my way to them just in time for the robed man to grab my arm and shove both the young woman and myself through the doorway behind the other guests. I turned to show my displeasure at being shoved and was blinded by a great flash of light from an object in the unusual man's hand. I thought I had been struck deaf when the blood curdling cry of Banshee
shrilled from somewhere above us all. I heard myself whisper to my new found companions, "Someone of this house dies, tonight."
