As we move to the library in fear of the zombie-like creature whom had distracted Edmund, Elspeth pulls my arm to get my attention.

"Where is Felix?" she hisses. "I know that you know. He wasn't in the attic. And that sure as all wasn't him lying at the bottom of the stairs!"

"I- I don't know," I lie. Suddenly, there is another loud cry through the hallways, making the both of us shudder in fright, covering our ears at the piercing volume of it. She turns back to me.

"Listen to that!" she pleads. "There are strange things about tonight! He could get hurt, or worse!" I bite my lower lip- I know that what she says was true...

"You are right," I tell her. "He is unconscious, in the catacombs, down in the basement." She nods and takes off running back towards the staircase. Another moan fills the halls and I can see a zombie-like figure studdering slowly towards the library at the other end of the hall. There is a quick flash as I swear an apparition floats right through me at rapid pace!

I felt regret then, as Elspeth had been sincerely kind to me in the past. Perhaps I have had her wrong all along...

"Wait!" I call after her, running to try and catch up. "You shouldn't go searching alone!"
