Miss Astrides & Miss Baket are drinking up a storm at the 'Blue Lotus' and as always I am apalled that lovely ladies would be unescourted in a bar and caberet setting. They seem to be snozzeled and celebrating.

"You know ladies there is still someone you must be on the lookout for and that is my own brother Seth. I fear he is up to great mischif."

Miss Baket insist upon leaving the bar by herself on very wobbely legs. Wherever can that detective Djari be? I motion for one of the waiters, my brother Nathan, to tail her discretly from a distance and see that she comes to no harm.

Now I am left alone with the mysterious Greta Astrides.

"What happened to the young man I saw you with the other night?" All the joy leaves her face and she is ashen.
