The only two I knew for sure were going at one point but pulled their plans at the last minute were not American. But I do see those of us needing firmer plans at least as far as lodging goes as being a priority for anyone who does not reside in Europe. That was a run on sentence, but I just woke up, sorry. Flying all the way to London from Asia, the middle east, Australia and of course the U.S. is a fair chunk of change and most of us are not independantly wealthy. So a group fare helps a bit. Also it's simply difficult to book lodging around London when you life far away. Over the internet is one way, but it's unreliable and hard to determine actual location or proximity to any events.
I prefer the no-tour guide fly by the seat of my pants way and always have, but sometimes a little assurance you'll have a place to stay that won't cost you an arm and a leg is better.
Still, all that said, I do thank anyone who did some planning on this and I've no idea how it could have worked out properly. I'm sure they did what they could along with their obligations in real life, we can't ask anything more than that. Letting someone know perhaps that they won't be able to fulfill the planning would have been good but we'll live. I still would love to attend one, in Pet's garden or wherever. If anyone has ideas for one?
