See, my issue before is, if XML is some kind of new fangled language altogether, how on earth can XHTML be a melding of XML (a new language) and old HTML when not one new code has been added, only the way you code it?
BUT, Sank's explanation finally got it to sink in for me. "..There's no mix of the languages [...]...it's a mix of the theories behind them. "
So it's not a new form of code, it's a new way of treating the old code, like making sure you are closing tags in order of opening them and using only lower case. Thanks a million Sank!
