Indeed, what Shaquilat found out from the Centurion was common knowledge around the camp (which she was unable to enter to see for herself). It was information that her king needed.
So, thanks to Shaquilat, the Nabataean king back in his palace in Petra is now aware of the strength and condition of the Roman forces on the border his country shares with Egypt. It will affect his future plans.
Shaquilat is new at this spy business but she is now aware that she must take greater risks and dig deeper in the future. In the meantime, as she enters Alexandria, she is keeping her eyes open.
